Halloween is almost here

>> Monday, October 26, 2009

I am in full Halloween mode over here. Two costumes (still not finished) and two trick or treat bags (also not finished). Everything is in bits and pieces. One almost finished costume and one not even started costume. I'm not seeing much sleep this week. We also have three parties and one dance class, in costume, before the big event so I am really under the gun.

Since I have so much to do in my sewing room I made some mitts. The same info as these mitts which I gave away as a present so of course I had to knit some up for myself. I love them!!
We're back to the procrastinating.
I'm also still working on my clasica coat. I have the back, both fronts and almost one sleeve finished. The hood is knit with onto the fronts and back so all I have to do is finish the sleeves and then seam the hell out of that puppy and I think we all remember how much I love seaming. Yep those bears are still in pieces.
So as we count down to Halloween don't worry about me I'll be the one drowning in fabric...

Yikes! Good luck with everything. I feel some degree of guilt that Halloween costumes are one thing I rarely make by hand. My Mom always did. You're far braver than me!

You're definitely going to have a busy week. Wishing you all a fun Halloween!
Love your mitts, the colour is incredible. Really, really great new header. :)

I procrastinate too ;0) i read somewhere that it's because i strive for perfection. I try to get better though... It's hard to work under the gin with kiddos.
I would recommend two books "eat that frog" and "the procrastinator's handbook"
I am off to clean my underwear drawer... And no i am not telling you what i should be doing instead ;0)

Last night I looked around my room and saw two socks just started, two half knit scarves, and a sweater on row 22. Of course I pulled out yarn and started looking though books for something else to start--procrastination at it's finest!
Those mitts are really beautiful--I love that pattern!

Great mitts!

My what a busy week you have - but it all sounds fun :)

Make sure to take pictures of the tiddlywinks in costume!

who says you procrastinate? you finished the yummy mitts! and now your hands will be warm for all that sewing. I don't usually sew all the costumes because it never seems to turn out how the kiddos had envisioned it - my guys are tough critics.

thanks for the comment and stopping by. The hat was an easy knit and it's oh so warm! ;D

I just LoVe the vibrant blue you used for these mitts! It totally made me hunt down the pattern and put it in my Ravelry queue. I am feverishly trying to finish up my 'Flair' sweater and have told myself to NOT CO anything until it's a bona fide FO but w/this mitt pattern (and others) teasing me, we shall see just how long that'll last! lol! :D
